Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the sausage links and cook for 10 minutes.
  2. Remove the sausage from the pot and set aside. Discard the water.
  3. In a separate pot, bring the white vinegar, cider vinegar, sugar, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, mustard seed, and celery seed to a boil.
  4. Reduce the heat to a simmer and add the cooked sausage links. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove the pot from the heat and let cool.
  6. Transfer the cooled sausage and pickling liquid to a storage container. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours before serving.
